Mt. Carmel Food Pantry is accepting clean, gently used coats to distribute this winter.

Our Coat Closet is named for Cora, a Verplanck resident who works for Feeding Westchester.

She prayed to have a food pantry on this site.  Prayer answered.

Joseph J. DiDio Snack Station

Joe DiDio was born in Peekskill and served in the army as an interpreter in Italy.

A member of the Mt. Carmel Society, Joe was a yeast maker at Fleischmann's.

He married Marie Weise and raised 4 daughters in Verplanck.

Joe "The Can Man" collected bottles and cans -

giving the deposit money and much more to families in need.

We celebrate his spirit at the Mt. Carmel Food Pantry.
