The Drive Thru Pantry at Mt. Carmel


Filling Trunks Fridays 1 - 2 PM - and - Saturdays 8 - 9 AM for Tri- Village, Cortlandt & District 3.

155 Highland Ave. at 8th Street in Verplanck. 

The Pantry is a member of Feeding Westchester and an affiliate of

Second Chance Foods.

Food Donations accepted Fridays at 12 noon.

Please Pull in Slowly & Quietly

Pull into the 8th St. parking lot paralel facing out.

Stay in car and pop your trunk.


Volunteers place items in trunk. 

Please don't come too early. 

Be mindful of sleeping neighbors.

Donations Accepted Fridays at 12 noon

Canned Fruit, Coffee & Tea,  Tuna, Pasta, Soup, Pasta Sauce, Canned Tomatoes Peanut Butter & Jelly, Mayo, Ketchup & Mustard, Honey & Sugar, Cookies, Cake mixes, Paper Towels,Pampers, Feminine Products & Toiletries are always needed.


Cora's Coat Closet

Mt. Carmel Food Pantry can accept small donations of clean, gently used clothes to. Our Closet is named for Cora, a Verplanck resident who works for Feeding Westchester. She prayed for a food pantry on this site.  Prayer answered.

Joseph J. DiDio Snack Station

Joe DiDio was born in Peekskill and served in the army as an interpreter in Italy. 

A member of the Mt. Carmel Society, Joe was a yeast maker at Fleischmann's. 

He married Marie Weise and raised 4 daughters in Verplanck. 

Joe "The Can Man" collected bottles and cans - 

giving the deposit money and much more to families in need. 

We celebrate his spirit at the Mt. Carmel Food Pantry.


Volunteers train to work one shift per month.  Food training and non discrimination training must be completed. The Pantry welcomes everyone from seniors in high school to senior citizens to train and share the love!  Email
