August 9 at St. Patrick's in Verplanck.

After, we lifted the statue to have the procession with Our Lady

 Every year thousands of families come to 155 Highland Avenue at 8th Street

in Verplanck, NY the third week of July 
for our traditional Italian Festival. 
We are known for our famous and delicious Sausage & Peppers wedges.


 "The Foodie Feast" as it's been called also serves pasta, pizza, zeppoli, cannoli, 

beer, wine and so much more.


 The longest running Italian Feast in the Hudson Valley is also home of the 

World's Largest Tarantella! 


There are usually rides and games 

and a vendor village. 

With music every night on the corner of 8th Street and Highland in Verplanck 

 "The Big Tarantella" Saturday night at 10.

The Society of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel 

is a non profit organization

in Verplanck,  creating community & preserving tradition since 1922! 


Established in honor of the parish in their hometown, The Mt. Carmel Society was created by a handful of immigrants from Calabria, Italy, many who came to work at the stone quarry and brick ovens 

on the Hu

The Mt. Carmel Society has vibrant

 ladies club, active youth group

 and food pantry.

   

Throughout the year the Mt. Carmel Society holds a Doo Wop Night,

 Pasta Dinners, 


The Pantry at Mt. Carmel is open

Fridays from 12 noon - 4 PM and


The Society of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel 

is member of Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce.
